Giving Back to Leeds: Ingeus and St George’s Crypt.

At Hyman’s, we believe in giving back. That’s why we regularly collaborate with various charities and regularly give back to our local community. Over the years, we’ve worked closely with Little Sisters of The Poor and St Gemma’s Hospice.

However, earlier on this year, we decided to collaborate with Ingeus and St George’s Crypt to support the homeless in Leeds City Centre and the surrounding areas.

Our donation helped Ingeus to raise a staggering £12,345 for the Hyman's Jewellers Gives Back to the Community: A Donation to St George's Crypt!

St George's Crypt has been an essential pillar of support for the homeless population of Leeds for several decades. Their dedication to helping individuals who are experiencing homelessness and addiction is truly commendable.

They work tirelessly to provide shelter, food, and vital support services to those in need, striving to bring a sense of hope and opportunity to those facing difficult circumstances.

As we witness the growing issue of homelessness in our city, Hyman's Jewellers is committed to supporting organizations that make a real difference in the lives of those affected. The work carried out by St George's Crypt aligns perfectly with our values of compassion, dignity, and community support.

Our charity donation aims to contribute towards St George's Crypt's ongoing efforts in providing practical and emotional support to individuals experiencing homelessness, including their provision of temporary accommodation, hot meals, medical care, as well as education and vocational training.

We firmly believe that these services are vital in enabling people to rebuild their lives and pave the way towards a brighter future.

At Hyman's Jewellers, we understand the significance of giving back, and we urge our esteemed customers and friends to join us in supporting St George's Crypt. Whether it's through financial contributions, volunteering your time, or spreading awareness about their work, every effort counts in making a positive impact on our community.

Our partnership with St George's Crypt extends beyond this donation. Moving forward, we hope to collaborate on future initiatives that will further strengthen our commitment to address homelessness in Leeds.

We believe that by working together, we can create a more caring and inclusive society for all. About Hyman's Jewellers:

With over 30 years of experience, Hyman's Jewellers is a trusted name in the preowned watch and jewellery industry in Leeds City Centre. We pride ourselves on offering a wide range of high-quality, certified preowned luxury watches and fine jewellery at competitive prices.

Additionally, our friendly and knowledgeable team is always ready to assist you with any jewellery-related needs or inquiries. We are also passionate about giving back to the community through various philanthropic endeavors.

Our jewellery donation was used to raise money via our auction sales with the proceeds from the event going to support St George’s Crypt’s 15-month accommodation and recovery programme, Growing Rooms.

People committed to changing their lives are able to live independently in community-based, supported housing while attending structured recovery sessions, and volunteering for the charity’s other initiatives.

Here is their feedback;

“St George’s Crypt is a charity we work with closely, which benefits many of the people on probation we support in the area, and we’re delighted to have raised so much money for such a worthwhile cause.

Ingeus and St George’s Crypt colleagues gathered amazing donations of auction and raffle prizes from local businesses which helped us reach a truly amazing total on the night. I can’t thank everyone involved enough” Carrie Peters, Director of Justice Services for Ingeus.

Without the generous donations from local companies, our work simply wouldn’t be possible. I’m humbled by the number of businesses that have donated items, bought tickets for the dinner, and boosted our fundraising effort.''

We're very proud at Hyman's to have contributed to such an important cause and look forward to working with Ingenus and St George's Crypt again in the future.
